Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand what has brought you to therapy, and explore what support might be most helpful. We will spend time discussing your experiences, goals, and what you would like to work towards. There is no expectation to have everything figured out before attending, therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable.
-
You do not need to work that out on your own. Tell us what is going on when you get in touch and we will suggest a psychologist whose training and areas of practice suit.
-
The frequency and length of therapy will vary depending on your individual needs, goals, circumstances, and the concerns you are seeking support with. Some people may benefit from short-term, focused therapy, while others may choose to engage in longer-term support to explore deeper patterns, personal growth, or ongoing challenges.
-
No. You can book directly with us at any time. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate you will need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, but you can book your first appointment before you see your GP if that is easier.
-
Yes. We offer appointments by secure video across Australia. Online sessions run the same length as in-person sessions and attract the same Medicare rebates where you meet the criteria.
-
Book online at any time using the Book an Appointment button, or call us on (08) 8472 9594. If you are not sure which psychologist would suit, send us a message through the contact page and we will help you work it out.
-
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us 24 hours notice or for NDIS clients 48 hours so we can offer the appointment time to someone else who may need support.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than our notice period, or missed appointments, will incur a cancellation fee. This policy helps us maintain availability for our clients and supports the ongoing delivery of our services.
If there are circumstances that make it difficult to attend your appointment, please contact us, we are happy to discuss your situation and explore options where possible.
-
Our practice has several steps and may not be fully accessible for all mobility needs. We encourage you to contact our team before your appointment so we can discuss your individual requirements and explore the most appropriate way to support you, which may include offering appointments via secure telehealth where suitable.

Fees vary depending on the psychologist and the type of appointment. We confirm the exact fee, and any rebate you are eligible for, before your first appointment is booked. Call us on (08) 8472 9594 for further information.
